Gold-Accented Thai Lacquerware Box, ‘Shimmering Orchid’

Painted on a dark background, a shimmering orchid motif glows on Subin Tositarats decorative box. Thai artisans hand carve the box from mango wood, coating the inside and outside with a glossy black lacquer. On the lid, a 24k gold foil motif pops against the dark background.
