Homemade Baileys Irish Cream — the perfect creamy, boozy Christmas gift!

Rich, smooth, and wonderfully indulgent — this homemade version tastes even better than the store-bought bottle. It’s easy to make, and it keeps beautifully in the fridge for a few weeks.

🍫

Ingredients

(For about 4 cups / 1 liter)

  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
  • 1 can (14 oz / 400 g) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 ½ cups (360 ml) Irish whiskey (Jameson or similar)
  • 2 Tbsp chocolate syrup (or 2 tsp cocoa powder + 1 Tbsp simple syrup)
  • 1 tsp instant coffee granules
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • Optional: a pinch of salt or almond extract for extra depth

🥣

Instructions

  1. Blend Everything:
In a blender, combine heavy cream, condensed milk, whiskey, chocolate syrup, instant coffee, and vanilla. Blend on low speed for 20–30 seconds until smooth.
👉 Don’t over-blend or it can thicken too much.
  2. Taste & Adjust:
Add more chocolate syrup or whiskey to taste.
  3. Bottle It Up:
Pour into sterilized glass bottles or mason jars with tight-fitting lids.
  4. Chill:
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to let the flavors meld.
