Instructions
- Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil, and lightly grease it. - Arrange the Crackers
Lay the crackers in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet — edges touching, covering the entire surface. - Make the Caramel Sauce
- In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar over medium heat, stirring constantly.
- Bring to a gentle boil and let it bubble for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract (if using).
- Pour Over Crackers
Pour the hot caramel mixture evenly over the crackers and use a spatula to spread it quickly before it sets. - Bake
Place in the oven and bake for 5–6 minutes, or until the caramel is bubbling all over. - Add Chocolate
Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot caramel.
Let them sit for a minute, then spread evenly with a spatula until smooth. - Finish and Chill
Sprinkle a light layer of sea salt over the melted chocolate.
Allow it to cool completely, then refrigerate for about 1 hour until firm. - Break Into Bites
Once set, break into pieces or small bites and enjoy!
