Maple BBQ Hasselback Kielbasa Bites
Ingredients:
- 1 lb smoked kielbasa sausage
- ½ cup barbecue sauce (your favorite kind)
- 3 tbsp pure maple syrup
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional, for tang)
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Toothpicks (for serving)
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven
Heat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and lightly grease it. - Slice the Kielbasa
Cut the kielbasa into 1 to 1½ inch pieces. Make shallow “hasselback” slices along each piece (about 4–5 cuts), being careful not to cut all the way through. - Make the Sauce
In a small bowl, whisk together barbecue sauce, maple syrup, Dijon mustard, smoked paprika, and garlic powder. - Glaze the Sausage
Arrange kielbasa pieces on the prepared baking sheet. Brush generously with the maple BBQ glaze, making sure it seeps into the slices. - Bake
Bake for 15–20 minutes, brushing with more glaze halfway through, until caramelized and sticky. - Serve
Transfer to a platter, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve warm with toothpicks.
Storage:
- Fridge: Keep in an airtight container up to 3 days. Reheat in oven or air fryer until hot.
- Freezer: Store glazed bites (after baking) in a freezer bag for up to 2 months. Reheat from frozen at 375°F (190°C) for 12–15 minutes.
