Yields:
About 36 squares
🧂
Ingredients:
- 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
- 1 cup (240 ml) sweetened condensed milk
- ½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter
- ½ cup (125 ml) light corn syrup (or golden syrup)
- 1 cup (175 g) white chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup (100 g) chopped walnuts, toasted
- Pinch of salt
👩🍳
Instructions:
- Prepare the pan:
Line an 8-inch (20 cm) square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal. Lightly butter or spray the paper. - Cook the caramel base:
In a heavy saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, butter, corn syrup, and sweetened condensed milk.
Stir continuously until the mixture begins to bubble and thicken — about 10–12 minutes. It should turn a light golden caramel color. - Add flavor and chocolate:
Remove from heat and immediately stir in the white chocolate chips, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Stir until smooth and fully melted. - Add walnuts:
Fold in the toasted walnuts, reserving a few for the top if you like. - Set the fudge:
Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Sprinkle with the reserved walnuts for a beautiful finish. - Chill:
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm. - Cut into squares:
Lift the fudge from the pan using the parchment paper and cut into small, even squares.
